NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. – Dylon Wilson will run the zMAX CARS Late Model Stock Tour race at North Wilkesboro Speedway on May 16 with MKM Racing Development.

Wilson and MKM joined forces at Wake County Speedway in Raleigh, N.C., last month, where Wilson earned a career-best 10th-place run at the bullring. The Wilkes County native has entered every late model stock car race at the five-eighths-mile track since its revival in 2022.

“MKM is building a top-notch program from the ground up,” Wilson told Frontstretch Thursday. “It’s been a pleasure working with Michael [Klein] and the whole team. It means the world to have people around me who believe in me and make racing more fun than it’s ever been.”

“Driving the MKM car at Wake County was an incredible opportunity. Michael Klein gave me a shot in the rocket that he built; it was my first time in a Hedgecock chassis,” continued Wilson. “The original goal was to bring some experience to a track I had a personal notebook on, but the weekend went so well, we knew we had to put some things in motion for North Wilkesboro. Thanks to Seth Cohn and TwoBoros Brewery, we were able to make it happen.”

As he mentioned, Wilson will be backed by his longtime sponsor and local Wilkes County business TwoBoros Brewery, owned by Cohn. Wilson and Cohn have been partners for years, and Cohn owns TwoBoros Performance Shop, the team Wilson drove for the past two years.

Notably, Wilson’s history with North Wilkesboro goes back far beyond his recent racing days, as his great-grandfather – Jack Combs – was one of the track’s original owners. Wilson also proposed to wife Allie at the facility in 2021, prior to its revival into its current era as a raceable track.

Wilson put together a near-full-time CARS Tour effort in 2023, finishing 18th in the series standings, but stepped down to select races last year in part due to the birth of son Wilkes, named after the racetrack.

Tickets are still available at https://northwilkesborospeedway.com for the zMAX CARS Tour return to North Wilkesboro. Fans can also catch all the action live on FS1 on Friday night, May 16.
