MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – Anthony Alfredo is hoping for an even more positive redux of his spring trip to Talladega Superspeedway with Beard Motorsports when the pairing reunites at the venue next month.
After leading a NASCAR Cup Series career-high 19 laps at Talladega in April, Alfredo will retake the reins of the Beard family’s No. 62 Chevrolet at the mammoth 2.66-mile oval for the Oct. 19 YellaWood 500.
It will mark Alfredo’s second and final Cup Series start of the season and the final appearance of the year for Beard Motorsports at stock car racing’s top level.
In addition, DUDE Wipes – one of the founding partners in Alfredo’s racing career – will return as a primary sponsor in the Cup Series for the first time since collaborating with the Ridgefield, Conn., native in April 2024.
Appropriately, that race was also at Talladega, and Alfredo led four laps that afternoon en route to a sixth-place finish – his best result to date at the Cup Series level.
“We love this partnership with Anthony and DUDE Wipes,” said Amie Beard-Deja, executive vice president of Beard Motorsports. “Racing is a passion project for us. We’ve said it many times, but we go to the racetrack with the intention of being competitive, running up front and contending for wins.
“Our spring race at Talladega last year is a great example of the hard work, effort and commitment we devote to being contenders.”
Alfredo and DUDE Wipes have worked together since the 26-year-old debuted in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2020. Since that time, Alfredo has carved out a stable career for himself in professional stock car racing, compiling 200 starts across NASCAR’s three national touring series.
Most recently, he’s competed full time in the Xfinity Series for Young’s Motorsports, finishing up his first full season with the Tyler Young-owned organization in the team’s No. 42 Chevrolet.
Alfredo will do double duty at Talladega in October, racing the Xfinity Series event Saturday afternoon before tackling Sunday’s Cup Series headliner with Beard Motorsports.
“I’m pumped to be driving the No. 62 DUDE Wipes Chevrolet at Talladega again,” Alfredo said. “DUDE Wipes has been so important to me and my career and just all around a great group of people to work with during the last several years. I can’t say enough about this opportunity to be back with DUDE Wipes, Beard Motorsports and the Beard family at Talladega.

“I take a lot of pride driving the No. 62 Beard Chevrolet and I’m honored to be trusted behind the wheel every time we go to a superspeedway,” Alfredo continued. “We had such a great run there in the spring – leading a lot of laps during the second stage and really showing what this team can do. We have a lot to build on and can’t wait to get to do it all again.”
With a pink paint scheme for Talladega that also fits into October’s traditional theme of breast cancer awareness, DUDE Wipes will highlight its newest product line, Lil’ DUDE Wipes.
Designed with kids in mind, Lil’ DUDE Wipes are made with 99 percent water and plant-based ingredients like aloe vera and vitamin E, meant to be sensitive on skin for younger users.
“We are thrilled for the opportunity to partner again with Beard Motorsports and Anthony Alfredo,” said Ryan Meegan, co-founder of DUDE Wipes. “Anthony has been part of the DUDE Wipes family for a few years now, and not only is he a big fan of our products, he has also been a tremendous ambassador for the brand.
“Being able to partner with Beard Motorsports’ NASCAR Cup Series program at Talladega is a great opportunity for DUDE Wipes, in particular to be able to show off our new potty-training wipe – Lil’ DUDE Wipes – which are exclusively available at Walmart.”
The fall visit to Talladega marks Beard Motorsports’ first Cup Series race since the Brickyard 400 in July, when the team raced at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with Jesse Love behind the wheel.
Broadcast coverage of next month’s YellaWood 500 is slated for Sunday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. ET, live on NBC, the Motor Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
