Ethan Ebert Dominates CARS Tour West Victory While Racing for the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation
WEST RICHLAND, Wash. (July 5, 2026) — Ethan Ebert delivered one of the most commanding performances of the 2026 Spears CARS Tour West season Saturday night, turning a pole-winning qualifying run into a dominant victory in the Best of the West Freedom 250 at Tri-City Raceway while proudly representing the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation and its mission to raise awareness for children battling pediatric cancer.
Driving the No. 9 Super Late Model for Jeff Jefferson Racing, Ebert established himself as the driver to beat from the moment the weekend began. After earning the pole position with a blistering qualifying lap, the Tucson, Arizona, native controlled the race from the front, leading all but 12 of the 150 laps on his way to his first Spears CARS Tour West Super Late Model victory.
The victory was made even more impressive by the level of competition. Ebert outran NASCAR champion Kevin Harvick and his son, rising star Kelan Harvick, who crossed the finish line second and third, respectively, giving the young driver one of the biggest wins of his career against one of the strongest fields assembled this season.
"This is a night I'll never forget," Ebert said. "Our Jeff Jefferson Racing team gave me an incredible race car from the moment we unloaded, and everything came together. To earn my first CARS Tour West Super Late Model victory against a field like this is incredibly special."
While the trophy marked a major milestone in Ebert's racing career, the message displayed on his race car made the evening even more meaningful.
Throughout the weekend, Ebert proudly carried the colors of the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, using one of the biggest victories of his career to help raise awareness for children and families battling pediatric brain tumors and other childhood cancers. Every lap led, every interview, and every Victory Lane celebration became another opportunity to shine a spotlight on the Foundation's life-changing mission.
"Motorsports gives us an incredible platform," Ebert said. "If we can use that platform to help raise awareness for children and families facing pediatric cancer, then we're racing for something much bigger than ourselves. That's something I'm honored to support."
Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Founder Denis Murphy said drivers like Ebert play a vital role in helping the organization reach more families across the country.
"Ethan's performance at Tri-City Raceway was impressive, but what means even more to us is his willingness to use that success to help children battling pediatric cancer," Murphy said. "Every time a driver chooses to represent the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, they're introducing our mission to thousands of race fans who may have never heard about the children and families we serve. We're incredibly grateful for Ethan, Jeff Jefferson Racing, and everyone involved for helping us spread hope and raise awareness through the sport of racing."
