Love’s Inks Multi-Year Extension With Front Row
MOORESVILLE, N.C. – The Love’s family of companies will return to Front Row Motorsports for the 12th straight year in both the NASCAR Cup Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Monday’s news comes as part of the announcement of a multi-year extension between Love’s and the Bob Jenkins-owned FRM organization.
Senior FRM driver and 2021 Daytona 500 winner Michael McDowell will fly the colors of Love’s and Speedco, a member of the Love’s Family of Companies, as the anchor sponsor on his No. 34 Ford Mustang Dark Horse again this season as he represents the leading travel stop network in the United States.
Love’s RV Stops will also take on prominent branding positions with Front Row Motorsports. In total, McDowell will carry sponsorship from the Love’s Family of Companies in 18 Cup Series races this year.
Located at or adjacent to Love’s Travel Stops across the country, Love’s RV Stops provide race fans and campers with a safe, clean, and well-maintained place to park and camp with family and friends while attending races or on other adventures.
Each stop is equipped with hookups and the same amenities as standard Love’s Travel Stops, including showers, laundry, restaurants, fuel, and snacks.
Love’s is the longest tenured sponsor of Front Row Motorsports, dating back to the 2013 Daytona 500 at Daytona (Fla.) Int’l Speedway, when the iconic yellow colors debuted on David Gilliland’s No. 38 Ford.
That year was also the first time McDowell stepped behind the wheel of a Front Row Motorsports entry, when he joined the team in the No. 35 Ford for the Cheez-It 355 at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) Int’l.
McDowell has since earned two Cup Series wins with Front Row Motorsports and is coming off a career-best season that included his second career playoff appearance and a 15th-place finish in points.
“The future is Love’s and Love’s RV Stops yellow for our program,” quipped McDowell, whose Daytona 500 victory three years ago came with Love’s on the side of his race car.
“I have said it before, there is a huge sense of pride from myself and our team to carry the Love’s colors and represent their employees, customers and trucking fleets across the country who trust Love’s every day to keep them moving on the road,” McDowell added. “There are few partners in NASCAR who can boast such a long-term relationship with one car, but Love’s is becoming synonymous with the No. 34 team.
“It is a lot of fun to be a part of it and I am grateful for the partnership.”
In the Truck Series, new FRM driver Layne Riggs – the 21-year-old son of former NASCAR driver Scott Riggs – will contest half of the 22-race Truck Series schedule with Love’s aboard his No. 38 Ford F-150.
“The Love’s Ford F-150 has quickly become a favorite in the truck series,” noted Riggs. “And now we’re going to have the scheme for half of our season with Love’s RV Stops. I think it’s cool that we’re starting fresh and new with this branding with our team and myself.
“I am looking forward to representing Love’s this season and continuing their championship ways.”
Love’s was part of the 2022 Truck Series title run made by former FRM driver Zane Smith, who shifted over to Spire Motorsports in the offseason as part of a partnership with Trackhouse Racing.
Both McDowell and Riggs will carry the Love’s colors during their respective season-opening events at Daytona next month – the Cup Series Daytona 500 and the Truck Series Fresh From Florida 250, respectively.
Riggs’ maiden voyage with FRM takes place Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. ET, live on FS1, the Motor Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
Meanwhile, McDowell’s pursuit of a second Harley J. Earl Trophy begins Feb. 18 at 2:30 p.m. ET, live on FOX, MRN, and SiriusXM.
