Heavy Rain Squelches Cowtown Classic Kickoff
KENNEDALE, Texas – World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car Series and Kennedale Speedway Park officials have canceled Friday’s opening night of the Cowtown Classic.
The decision comes after heavy rain, including severe thunderstorms, hammered the quarter-mile dirt oval with several inches of precipitation over the past 48 hours.
Those who purchased a ticket in advance for Friday’s Kennedale Speedway Park race will receive a face-value credit to their MyDirtTickets.com account – good for two years – for use toward any World of Outlaws event available at WorldofOutlaws.com/tix.
For those who can’t utilize a credit to their account, the option to request a refund is open until April 8.
The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series season resumes Saturday with the Cowtown Classic finale at Kennedale.
David Gravel currently leads the World of Outlaws sprint car standings by 12 markers over Donny Schatz and Gio Scelzi, who are tied for second.
Those unable to attend at the track can stream every lap of the World of Outlaws season on DIRTvision.
