LEBANON, Tenn. – Anthony Alfredo had a quiet Saturday at Nashville Superspeedway en route to an 18th-place finish in the Tennessee Lottery 250.

The Ridgefield, Conn., native qualified 17th at the 1.33-mile concrete oval and spent more than half the race inside the top 15, running as high as third at one point in the 17th NASCAR Xfinity Series race of the season and spending time four- and five-wide at various moments in the middle stages.

Alfredo restarted 13th on the final restart of the day with 46 laps left, but got shuffled into several two- and three-wide situations that set him back into mid-pack traffic.

However, the 25-year-old kept his No. 5 DUDE Wipes Mint Chill Chevrolet Camaro clean and ultimately earned his 13th top-20 finish in 17 races this season.

Alfredo remains in position to challenge for an Xfinity Series playoff berth, sitting 15th in the regular season standings and just 59 points back of the cut line with nine races remaining before the postseason reset.

“We had a great car at Nashville and the Our Motorsports pit crew was on point all afternoon long,” said Alfredo. “I felt like this was a very well-put together race for us; we just lost too much ground on the final restart to race where I felt like we really deserved to finish.

“I’m amped up about racing the Chicago Street Course next week and excited to see what we’ll be able to do there in a really neat atmosphere for NASCAR as a whole.”

Saturday’s race marked the debut of the new teal-and-black DUDE Wipes Mint Chill paint scheme aboard Alfredo’s No. 5 Chevrolet.

DUDE Wipes’ new Mint Chill brand of flushable wipes features eucalyptus, mint, and tea tree oils that help to cool and soothe sensitive skin hotspots.

It was the 10th time overall this year that DUDE Wipes has been Alfredo’s primary sponsor in the Xfinity Series.

Alfredo and the Xfinity Series field will be back in action next at the Chicago Street Course in downtown Chicago, Ill., with the running of the second annual Loop 110.

Broadcast coverage of the race is slated for Saturday, July 6 at 3:30 p.m. ET, live on NBC, the Motor Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
