Fenhaus Adds Two Truck Series Races With ThorSport
SANDUSKY, Ohio – Midwest short track ace Luke Fenhaus will get two more chances this season to showcase his skills in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Officials from ThorSport Racing announced Wednesday afternoon that Fenhaus, 20, will wheel the No. 66 Soda Sense Ford F-150 at both Pocono Raceway on Friday, July 12 and Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on Friday, July 19.
The CRC Brakleen 175 and TSPORT 200 will mark Fenhaus’ second and third Truck Series appearances, respectively. His debut came at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Ill., in June, where the Wausau, Wis., native came from 27th on the grid to finish 10th.
Crew chief Josh Hankish, who worked with Fenhaus at Gateway and has been atop the pit box for the No. 66 entry all season, will guide the Badger State native in both his upcoming Truck Series races.
Fenhaus is a race winner in both the national ARCA Menards Series and the ARCA Menards Series East, as well as last year’s ARCA East championship runner-up driving for Mark Webb’s Pinnacle Racing Group.
A past CARS Pro Late Model Tour champion (2022) and alumni of the Kulwicki Driver Development Program, Fenhaus also won the prestigious Slinger Nationals late model race in 2021 prior to his rise onto the national stage.
“I’m really excited to reunite with the No. 66 team at ThorSport Racing for Pocono and then to also race in the TSPORT 200 at IRP,” said Fenhaus. “I’m looking forward to partnering with Soda Sense, Dunrite Exteriors, and ICS on our Ford Performance F-150 and always eager to keep learning and improving.
“We’re looking to do what we did earlier in the season at Gateway and achieve top-10 finishes [or better] at both Pocono and IRP.”
Seymour, Wis.-based Soda Sense, an eco-friendly 60L CO2 cylinder exchange program for at-home soda makers, will back Fenhaus in both events to create a local connection between driver and sponsor.
Soda Sense has also sponsored fellow Wisconsinite Ty Majeski for multiple Truck Series events at ThorSport Racing this year.
Broadcast coverage of the CRC Brakleen 175 at Pocono Raceway is slated for July 12 at 5:30 p.m. ET, live on FS1, the Motor Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
The TSPORT 200 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park will air July 19 at 8:30 p.m. ET on the same television and radio networks.
