MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Longtime TRICON Garage partner Black’s Tire Service will return to Tanner Gray’s No. 15 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro as the primary sponsor for Friday night’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Black’s Tire will highlight its charitable partner, the Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, as part of the effort during the North Carolina Education Lottery 200.

After celebrating its 95th anniversary last year, Black’s Tire remains a local, family owned-and-operated tire seller and wholesaler, with more than 70 locations in both North and South Carolina.

The company most recently partnered with Gray in April at Rockingham (N.C.) Speedway in the Truck Series race they sponsored, the Black’s Tire 200, and sponsored the 26-year-old at Charlotte in both 2022 and ’23.

Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina has served more than 7,500 children as a nonprofit. The Lake Waccamaw, N.C.-based agency’s mission is to provide a wide array of services for children and youth who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or other family challenges.

BGHNC offers adoption, family, and therapeutic foster care in 26 counties, as well as success coach services to prevent children from coming into foster care, and child and family therapy.

They also work with Carolyn's Kaleidoscope Child Advocacy Center in Whiteville, N.C., and have residential care services available on the campus at Lake Waccamaw.

“The founder of Black’s Tire, Crowell Black, was on our original board of trustees; Ricky Benton II currently serves on our board of trustees today, and through the years, BTS fundraising has had a huge impact on continuing our programs of care through Boys and Girls Homes,” said Marc Murphy, President and CEO of Boys and Girls Homes. “We simply could not serve as many children without the support of BTS.”

“In addition to highlighting our charitable partnership with BGHNC, we are excited to feature 24 of our loyal partner dealers on the bed of the truck for this big event,” added Ricky Benton Sr., the BTS Chairman of the Board.

Following the Charlotte race weekend, Black’s Tire will host its annual Boys and Girls Home charity golf tournament on Thursday, Sept. 18.

Of note, Gray is the two-time defending Truck Series pole winner at Charlotte, but has yet to earn a top-five finish at the 1.5-mile quad-oval. His track-best mark of sixth came in 2022 under the David Gilliland Racing banner, before it became TRICON Garage in 2023.

Broadcast coverage of Friday night’s North Carolina Education Lottery 200 is slated for 8:30 p.m. ET, live on FS1, the NASCAR Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
