PHOENIX – Carvana, which focuses its business on buying and selling used cars online, will continue its partnership with seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson this season for three races.

Johnson will wheel the No. 81 Carvana Toyota Camry XSE in two crown jewel events – the season-opening Daytona 500 at Daytona (Fla.) Int’l Speedway on Feb. 18 and the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 21 - as well as the season finale at Arizona’s Phoenix Raceway on Nov. 10.

Johnson, who will be inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame on Jan. 19 and co-owns Legacy Motor Club alongside Maury Gallagher, has worked with Carvana since 2021, when he raced in the NTT IndyCar Series with Chip Ganassi Racing following the end of his full-time NASCAR Cup Series career.

Carvana sponsored Johnson’s Daytona 500 effort last year in his first race as driver and co-owner with Legacy Motor Club. He ran near the front of the field for a portion of the afternoon before a late crash eliminated him from contention.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with Jimmie and Legacy Motor Club for a second season,” said Ryan Keeton, Carvana’s co-founder and Chief Brand Officer. “Jimmie is not only the true embodiment of a champion, as recognized by his Hall of Fame induction this year, he is also a leader on and off the track and we can’t wait to see what he accomplishes this season.”

Johnson is a two-time Daytona 500 champion, hoisting the iconic Harley J. Earl Trophy in 2006 and 2013 with Hendrick Motorsports. He also has four wins (2006, ’08, ’09, ’12) in the Brickyard 400, second most to his former teammate Jeff Gordon’s five Brickyard 400 victories.

“I’m so proud to represent Carvana for a second NASCAR season, and our fourth season overall as partners, at some of my favorite races,” said Johnson. “Carvana is a fun brand that captures the joy of both cars and racing, and they do a great job leveraging their partnership with Legacy Motor Club.

“I’m excited to have a shot at another Daytona 500 trophy in our new Toyota Camry XSEs and the paint scheme is sure to be a fan favorite.”

Carvana’s paint schemes this year will honor the legacy Johnson has built across both his NASCAR and IndyCar tenures with three unique designs.

The brand will unveil Johnson’s Daytona 500 paint scheme in February prior to The Great American Race.

In addition to Johnson’s select races with Legacy Motor Club, the team will field full-time NASCAR Cup Series entries this season for John Hunter Nemechek (No. 42 Toyota) and Erik Jones (No. 43 Toyota).
