DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – After two years of development in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Daniel Dye is taking his next step up the national ladder.

Officials from Kaulig Racing announced Friday afternoon at Daytona Int’l Speedway that Dye, 20, will race full time next year in the NASCAR Xfinity Series behind the wheel of the team’s No. 10 Chevrolet.

Dye’s full-season promotion comes amid a part-time schedule this year with the Matt Kaulig-owned organization. In seven starts this season, Dye has earned two top-10 and four top-20 finishes.

The DeLand, Fla., native’s best Xfinity Series result thus far came at historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway in July, when he placed seventh at the 2.5-mile oval.

“Daniel [Dye] has done a really great job for our team this season,” said team president Chris Rice. “He is invested in our program and putting in the time and effort to keep getting better. I’ve been able to spend a lot of time with him throughout the season, and we’re looking forward to having him with us full time in 2025.”

The World Center of Racing served as a fitting backdrop for the confirmation of Dye’s 2025 plans. He raced late models owned by NASCAR Executive Vice President and Chief Venue & Racing Innovations Ben Kennedy – the great-grandson of NASCAR founder Bill France Sr. – prior to joining the national series ranks.

In addition to his select Xfinity Series appearances, Dye also made the Truck Series playoffs this year with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing and will begin his pursuit of that series’ championship Sunday at the Milwaukee (Wis.) Mile in the LiUNA 175.

He has one top-five and six top-10 finishes in Truck Series competition this year, as well as one pole.

With three additional starts scheduled this fall in the No. 10 Chevrolet – at Kansas Speedway Sept. 28, Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway Oct. 19 and in the series finale at Arizona’s Phoenix Raceway Nov. 9 – Dye hopes to continue building a strong team foundation ahead of his full-time debut in February.

“I’ve really enjoyed driving the Xfinity car this year, and I’m excited for the opportunity to continue working with Kaulig Racing in 2025,” said Daniel Dye. “It’s been a fun experience learning the car and trying to navigate the different feeling compared to the truck. I’m looking forward to finishing out the season, running for the Truck Championship and making the most of my remaining races in the No. 10.”

Partnership details for Dye and the No. 10 Chevrolet Camaro team will be announced at a later date.

Dye’s full-time Xfinity Series campaign with Kaulig Racing begins Feb. 15, 2025, with the traditional 300-mile season opener at Daytona during AdventHealth Speedweeks.
