SALISBURY, N.C. – Case Hockman made it back-to-back top five finishes at Millbridge Speedway with a fourth-place run in Restricted Micro action Saturday evening.

Hockman qualified fourth at 10.571 seconds – less than four tenths of a second off class dominator Harry Stallard – and also ran fourth in his heat race prior to a similar result in the 15-lap main event.

He started from the outside of the second row for the feature and maintained position all the way through, with consistent laps in the 10.4-second bracket for most of the race in his No. 17a Friends of Jaclyn-branded sprinter.

It was a steady night for the Apollo Beach, Fla., teenager, but Hockman wanted more after showcasing a runner-up outing back in August and feeling he’s “getting closer” to a breakthrough victory with AB Enterprises.

“We were consistent, but the most recent Saturday Series race at Millbridge wasn’t exactly what we hoped for, especially when we ran second there a few weeks ago,” Hockman admitted. “We’ve learned a lot in these micros during the year and I really feel like we’re gaining on where we need to be to win one of these things; it just takes putting the entire night together starting with qualifying.

“Millbridge is a place where the track can change a lot from race to race, and I know if we can hit it right in the future, we’ll be able to put AB Enterprises in victory lane like they deserve. I can’t thank Austin [Barnhill, team owner] and everyone on the crew enough for all their effort and hard work.”

Hockman would like to thank APR Auto Group, Central Florida Transport, Bryce Comer Racing, Ambassador Racing School, Rack City Ribz, Miss Marie, Velocita USA, Race Face Brand Development, and the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation for their partnership and support of his racing endeavors.

The next scheduled race for Hockman and AB Enterprises is Oct. 15-18 at Oklahoma’s Port City Raceway during the KKM Giveback Classic weekend, the crown-jewel event annually put on by Keith Kunz Motorsports which awards a potential Chili Bowl Nationals midget ride to the winner.

It will mark Hockman’s return to the bullring for the first time since his debut at the track back in May, where he was running strong before a heat-race flip on the final night ended his weekend.

About Case Hockman

Case Hockman is a 13-year-old racer from Apollo Beach, Fla., who aspires to reach the top levels of NASCAR and currently competes in both INEX-sanctioned Bandolero cars on pavement and on dirt in 600cc micro sprints and Jr Sprints.

Hockman’s need for speed started at a young age. At just three years old, his father Richard had him behind the wheel of a go-kart, laying the foundation for his future as a driver.

By the age of four, Hockman tackled his first race. Inspired by his father’s racing career, the younger Hockman quickly became determined to take the wheel and pursue his own passion for speed.

After cutting his teeth and honing his skills in the karting world, Hockman moved to Bandoleros and Jr Sprints, transitioning between dirt and pavement and building toward a planned debut in the Spec Late Model class at California’s Irwindale Speedway in 2025.

When not behind the wheel or at a racetrack, Hockman enjoys playing soccer, flag football and racing RC cars. He is also a supporter of the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation’s efforts to better the quality of life for children battling pediatric cancer.
