Kubota Extends Backing Of Rhodes & ThorSport
GRAPEVINE, Texas – Kubota Tractor Corp. has extended its partnership with ThorSport Racing and two-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Ben Rhodes.
As part of the new deal, Kubota’s orange paint scheme will appear on Rhodes’ No. 99 Ford F-150 in six Truck Series races this year, starting Friday night at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway.
Following the Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200, Kubota will return to sponsor Rhodes in races at Texas Motor Speedway on April 12; Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pa., on July 12; Kansas Speedway on Sept. 27; Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway on Oct. 4; and Martinsville (Va.) Speedway on Nov. 1.
It’s the third year Kubota has worked with Rhodes and the Duke and Rhonda Thorson-owned Truck Series team, after first partnering with ThorSport Racing in September of 2022.
“When we started this partnership with ThorSport and Ben, he was already a champion, and we couldn’t have been more excited to see him cross the finish line to win his second and bring home the trophy to Kubota Country," said Todd Stucke, President of Kubota Tractor Corp. “Much like Kubota customers, Ben has the heart of a champion and is determined to get the job done right.
“We’re proud to be part of the ThorSport team and we’re looking forward to joining Ben in victory lane again this year.”
In addition to the company’s sponsorship of Rhodes’ truck, Kubota will also continue as the Official Tractor Company of ThorSport Racing.
Last season, Rhodes earned his second Truck Series title with a fifth-place finish in overtime at Arizona’s Phoenix Raceway, making him the youngest multi-time champion in series history.
While Rhodes has yet to take the Kubota colors to victory lane, he does have a pair of runner-up finishes for the brand, earned in 2022 during playoff races at Talladega and Phoenix.
“I’m thrilled to be able to represent Kubota once again. We’ve had some great highlights over the years competing for wins and championships,” said Rhodes. “I think 2024 is going to be an even better year.”
