LAS VEGAS – A much-needed quiet Saturday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway allowed Anthony Alfredo and Young’s Motorsports to post their best finish of the NASCAR Xfinity Series season in the LiUNA! 300.
After qualifying 22nd, Alfredo worked his way forward as he was able, posting stage finishes of 19th and 18th through the first 90 laps of the event. He found himself as high as third in the final stage, during a later round of green-flag pit stops, before cycling back out in 18th – where he ultimately finished.
It gave Alfredo his first top 20 of the season, as well as tied Young’s Motorsports’ best result in Sin City, set during the spring race at the 1.5-mile oval one year ago.
“Man, it definitely feels good to put an entire, clean race together,” said Alfredo, who moved up four positions in the regular season point standings to 25th place. “We certainly didn’t have all the speed that we hoped to have, but I feel like there is plenty for us to learn from and build on as we go to some of the other mile-and-a-halves and for when we come back to Las Vegas in the fall.
“I’m excited to head to Homestead next, as it’s one of my favorite tracks, and optimistic that we can continue growing this team and our results.”
Las Vegas featured DUDE Wipes, one of Alfredo’s longest-tenured partners, as the primary sponsor of the No. 42 Chevrolet for the third time third season.
DUDE Wipes is the flagship product of DUDE Products, a men’s hygiene company that was founded in 2012. The U.S.-based company introduced DUDE Wipes as the first flushable wipe for adults, marketed as a better hygiene solution to dry toilet paper.
The brand is available online and in 20,000 stores nationwide, including at Walmart, Target and Amazon.
Alfredo and the Xfinity Series field head to Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway next for round six of the season. In five starts at the track, the 25-year-old from Ridgefield, Conn., has a best finish of fourth, earned during his maiden appearance there in 2020.
Broadcast coverage of the Hard Rock Bet 300 from Homestead is slated for Saturday, March 22 at 4 p.m. ET, live on The CW, the Motor Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
