Menards Renews Partnership With Crafton & ThorSport
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The familiar neon-yellow colors of Menards home improvement stores will continue to adorn the Ford F-150s of three-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Matt Crafton.
Officials from ThorSport Racing confirmed Wednesday morning that Menards has renewed its longstanding relationship with Crafton and the Sandusky, Ohio-based organization for another season.
It will mark the 21st year that the Midwest home-improvement store chain has backed Crafton’s racing endeavors, further extending the longest-running driver and sponsor relationship in NASCAR history.
All three of Crafton’s Truck Series championships, along with his 15 career series wins, have come with Menards as his primary sponsor. The company also partnered with ThorSport Racing during Frank Kimmel’s last of 10 ARCA Menards Series championship seasons in 2013.
Crafton, from Tulare, Calif., will make his record-extending 545th straight Truck Series start during Friday’s season-opening Fresh From Florida 250 at Daytona Int’l Speedway. His most recent Truck Series win came at Kansas Speedway in 2020, 81 races ago, and he’s still seeking his first victory at Daytona.
This year marks Crafton’s 25th year in the Truck Series since debuting at the end of the 2000 season.
Vendor partners Ideal Door, Slim Jim, Black Label Bacon, Great Lakes Flooring, Planters, Serta, Chi-Chi’s, Jack Links, Zevo, OSI, Dutch Boy, Denali Aire, Paslode, and Flex Seal will join Menards aboard Crafton’s No. 88 Ford F-150 over the course of the season.
Coverage of the Fresh From Florida 250 begins Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. ET, live on FS1, the Motor Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
