SPRINGFIELD, Neb. – Tim Estenson will make his first sprint car start of the season Saturday at Off Road Speedway during a Cressman Sanitation Midwest Sprint Touring Series 410 sprint car event.
Estenson, who is spending this season on the crew of the Tim Estenson Motorsports No. 53 driven by Jack Dover, is the defending MSTS 410 champion and was victorious during his lone visit to the dirt track in Norfolk, Neb., in 2023.
“I’m definitely excited to get back in after sitting back and learning a different role this year,” he said. “I want to see if I can feel more in the car now that I know more. It’s for fun, but with my competitiveness I want to do well.”
Estenson charged from seventh to win a 360ci winged sprint car race at Off Road Speedway in May of 2023.
“The last time I raced there was two years ago in a 360 and we ended up winning,” he said. “We’ve had success there, so I think we should be pretty solid. It’s convenient for us to make this happen with two cars. It’s not too far from the shop, so it’s not hard to get another car to the track.
“Jack is the main focus, to get him to have a good result and get closer to winning the MSTS championship. At the same time, though, we want to make the most of it.”
