Creed Extends Top-10 Streak, Finishes Sixth at Rockingham

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. (April 5, 2026)Sheldon Creed continued to build momentum in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series with a strong sixth-place finish at Rockingham Speedway, turning in another complete performance as the championship picture tightens.

Driving the No. 00 Haas Factory Team Ollie’s Chevrolet, Creed opened the weekend with another top-10 qualifying effort, lining up ninth for the start. At the drop of the green flag, Creed worked in tandem with teammate Sam Mayer as the Haas Factory Team duo settled into the top 10 early.

The No. 00 machine held steady through the opening run, fending off challenges late in Stage One. Following a pit stop under caution, Creed restarted 15th but was unable to find clear track in the closing laps, ultimately finishing Stage One in 16th.

The team responded with a strong adjustment and pit stop to begin Stage Two, restarting 13th and quickly finding speed. After a mid-stage caution, Creed capitalized on the restart, making decisive passes to break into the top 10. He maintained his position under pressure to secure an eighth-place finish in Stage Two, collecting valuable stage points.

Starting the final stage in 11th, Creed methodically worked his way forward, showcasing the long-run speed of the No. 00 Chevrolet. He re-entered the top 10 with clean, calculated passes before a series of late-race cautions tightened up the field.

Creed surged as high as third in the closing laps, battling among the front-runners before a late restart shuffled the running order. He ultimately crossed the line in sixth, marking his fifth consecutive top-10 finish to open the 2026 season.

The result moves Creed up to third in the championship standings, now sitting just five points out of second as the season continues to gain momentum.

“We’re building consistency, and that’s what wins championships,” Creed said. “The team is bringing fast cars every week, and we’re putting ourselves in position. We’ll keep digging.”

Up Next: The series heads to Bristol Motor Speedway, where Creed will look to continue his climb in the standings and contend for his first win of the season.
