CONCORD, N.C. – RFK Racing officials confirmed Tuesday afternoon that Fifth Third Bank will return to Chris Buescher’s No. 17 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for five NASCAR Cup Series races this year.

The announcement and reveal of Fifth Third’s sponsorship schedule was made on RFK Racing’s social media channels.

Buescher will debut the Fifth Third colors for this season during the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 weekend at Texas Motor Speedway in April.

Fifth Third will then be back on Buescher’s car during NASCAR’s annual Throwback Weekend at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway on May 12, as well as at Michigan Int’l Speedway on Aug. 18, Daytona (Fla.) Int’l Speedway on Aug. 24, and during the playoffs at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL on Oct. 13.

Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Fifth Third is one of the largest consumer banks in the Midwest United States, whose clients range from retail to the small business, corporate, and investment sectors.

Buescher had a breakout year in the Cup Series last season with RFK Racing, winning three races and posting a career-high seventh-place finish in the point standings. He made the penultimate round of the postseason and fell just short of advancing to the Championship 4.

The Prosper, Texas, native is a five-time Cup Series winner and took Fifth Third to victory lane last August during the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona, his most recent triumph at NASCAR’s top level.
