Kyle Busch Subbing For Kligerman In CW Booth At Vegas

AVONDALE, Ariz. – The CW will have its version of a “super sub” in the broadcast booth for next weekend’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway.
Announced shortly before the end of the GOVX 200 Saturday at Phoenix Raceway, Kyle Busch will join play-by-play man Adam Alexander and regular analyst Jamie McMurray on the call for the LiUNA! 300 on March 15.
The race comes at Busch’s home track, a place where the Las Vegas native and all-time Xfinity Series wins leader has won seven times, including twice at NASCAR’s second-highest level in 2016 and 2019.
Busch’s presence in the Xfinity Series booth comes for a good reason, however, as Kligerman steps away for a week to compete in the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring with Forte Racing.
It’s the same team that Kligerman raced with in the Rolex 24 at Daytona back in January, en route to a 12th-place result in the GT Daytona class, after the team’s No. 78 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 completed 591 laps but failed to finish.
After retiring from full-time racing at the end of last year’s Xfinity Series season, Kligerman has remained active in the driver’s seat by competing in several high-profile events across various divisions, including the Rolex 24, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series opener at Daytona, and now the Sebring 12 Hours.
It’s something he said from the beginning that he wanted to do this year, and Kligerman noted Sunday on social media that he’s appreciative of new NASCAR broadcast partner CW Sports giving him the opportunity to continue checking boxes as a driver.
“It’s the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) of the series filling in, like an extra in a TV show getting a week off and Brad Pitt [agreeing] to fill in,” Kligerman wrote. “Thanks [to] The CW for letting me go chase a bucket-list race for me.”
Thanks, we announced it on the broadcast! The GOAT of the series filling in. Like an extra in a TV show getting a week off and Brad Pitt agrees to fill in
I’m racing the @IMSA Sebring 12 hour w/ @ForteRacing 🤙
Thanks @TheCW for letting me go chase a bucket list race for me https://t.co/bBGNsNpUeT

All time, Busch is a statistical giant of Xfinity Series competition that everyone continues to chase. He’s earned 102 wins, 70 poles, 226 top-five and 267 top-10 finishes in 367 career starts.
It makes Busch’s selection to a color analyst role – even if only for an afternoon – a natural fit and a wealth of knowledge for fans new and old tuning into The CW’s Xfinity Series coverage.
The LiUNA! 300 from Las Vegas is slated for a 4:30 p.m. ET green flag on Saturday, March 15. In addition to The CW, the race will also be broadcast on the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
