CONCORD, N.C. – Trackhouse Racing’s Shane Van Gisbergen will see some familiar faces in the NASCAR Cup Series garage from a sponsorship standpoint, as SafetyCulture expands its partnership aboard the Kiwi’s No. 88 Chevrolet.
The global technology company first followed the three-time Australian Supercars champion in his foray into NASCAR stock car racing last year. This year, the sponsorship grows from five races to seven.
In four NASCAR Xfinity Series starts on van Gisbergen’s Kaulig Racing entry, SafetyCulture earned two top-10 finishes: one in their NASCAR debut at Arizona’s Phoenix Raceway and the other in the playoffs at Kansas Speedway.
The company, which was part of the 35-year-old’s racing career in both Australia and New Zealand, made their Cup Series debut at Daytona (Fla.) Int’l Speedway in August 2024. Van Gisbergen ran well until an engine failure left him 35th in the final results.
The renewed and increased campaign for SafetyCulture begins with the Food City 500 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 13.
“I have gotten to meet so many new people in America that I now call my friends, but it is really nice to see SafetyCulture – who has been part of my racing career in New Zealand and Australia – join me over here,” said van Gisbergen. “They have seen the power of NASCAR, and I know they plan to be at a lot of races and use this relationship with Trackhouse and myself to connect with our amazing fans in America and around the world.”
In addition to the race at Bristol, SafetyCulture will be the primary sponsor of van Gisbergen’s No. 88 Chevrolet at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway on April 27, Texas Motor Speedway on May 4, Kansas Speedway on May 11, Michigan Int’l Speedway on June 8, Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City on June 15, and Pennsylvania’s Pocono Raceway on June 22.
SafetyCulture will also serve as the primary sponsor of Ross Chastain’s No. 1 Chevrolet in the Cup Series regular season finale at Daytona on Aug. 23.
"At SafetyCulture, we’re all about helping teams improve – whether that's on the racetrack or the factory floor, said SafetyCulture CEO Kelly Vohs. “Trackhouse Racing is a prime example, using our technology to get better and move fast – all under pressure.
“We’re energized by this partnership and being a part of helping them win this season."
Van Gisbergen has one Xfinity Series start at Bristol, where SafetyCulture’s 2025 season begins, to his credit. He started 34th and finished 18th, one lap down, last September.
Broadcast coverage of the Food City 500 at Bristol, the first race of the year for SafetyCulture with Trackhouse Racing, is scheduled for Sunday, April 13 at 3 p.m. ET on FS1, the Performance Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
